Yoga
A Mindful Definition
Mindful Yoga involves bringing mindfulness to the mat. We encourage participants to practice mindfulness meditation techniques during their yoga positions. Observing your thoughts and examining your awareness of the “now” and being mindful of how you react to the present situation, knowing that all things will eventually come to an end. Because this is so, it may be unwise to get caught up in things, and as the yoga pose puts tension on your muscles and all you can think about is “when is this pose going to end”; knowing that it will end as all things do can put your mind at ease and help you to focus.

Hatha Yoga
While there are many types of yoga practices, and all of them have significant benefits, Lakeside Mindfulness focuses on the mind-body connection, where everyone can practice at their own level.
Positional Yoga
Need rehabilitation services? Positional yoga can give you that and much more as you learn to train your mind to work with your body as a cohesive unit.

Practice at Your Own Level
While there are many types of yoga practices, and all of them have significant benefits, Lakeside Mindfulness focuses on the mind-body connection, where everyone can practice at their own level.
Hatha Yoga
A modern practice of an ancient Indian style of Yoga.
Hatha Yoga concentrates on physical health and mental well-being, by using postures (asanas), breathing (pranayama) and meditation (dyana) to bring about a healthy body and a centered, peaceful mind. There are almost 200 hatha yoga postures and variations, stretching and aligning the body to provide balance and flexibility, while promoting circulation in organs, glands and tissues.
